Review Policy
I love going out to events and meeting new people, trying new things, eating out at restaurants (in our city who doesn’t?) and seeing all types of movies. Many times I will check out things that have already gotten some buzz and that I have to experience for myself. Other times, I just need some convincing. That’s where you come in.
Option #1: Send me an email on the Contact page with information on your event, product, restaurant or business, and I’ll do my best to check it out. No promises that I’ll have the time to write a review on it, but I will try to manage one or two short paragraphs at the least.
Option #2: You can give me free admission to an event or movie, or a free sample that doesn’t have to be returned and I will review it. Email me the info on the Contact page and I’ll send back a confirmation and my mailing address, if applicable. This will result in a review, and I will give full disclosure that I have been given access to write one.
Option #3: Want the whole shebang? Visit my corporate site at middlechildmarketing.com and hire me to get you multiple reviews on more sites other than mine. Paid gigs are always good.
Examples of things I will review:
Events: Performance arts, social, business, concerts, fashion shows, food events, and cultural festivals.
Films of any kind. (VIFF is my Christmas)
Products: Green, beauty, clothing, accessories, household, etc. For apparel, I only shop at Canadian-owned boutiques or vintage stores. Locally-designed is a bonus, as is eco-friendly.
Books: Business, marketing, wellness, vegetarian/vegan cooking, and lifestyle.
Restaurants or any place I can get vegetarian or vegan food. No steakhouses, please.
Volunteer-run organizations: I’d love to walk a day in someone else’s shoes and meet people I wouldn’t normally meet. There are a lot of people changing the world for the better, one day at a time, and I’d love to meet them and share their stories.
Travel resorts: A longshot, but just putting it out there.
In the past, I’ve written reviews and provided referrals that have helped others make decisions on where to go and what to buy. You allow me to enjoy learning about other businesses, people, products, and events, while keeping up my writing practice, so send me your info!
