Trimmed & tousled by Textura Salon!

Boy do I have a treat for you readers! Well, rather, boy did I get a treat today!

Textura Salon, nestled in the heart of Kitsilano off of 4th & MacDonald, is the salon of choice for socialite Frances Hui, who always looks smashing at her events. I jumped at the opportunity to blog on the salon since my events were piling up and this was a good opportunity to get my overdue haircut and try something new.

When I walked in, it was busy. Which is a good sign for a salon. But, it was also because there was a guy painting a Christmas decal on the window (see photo at the end). Still, I was greeted by stylist Sean and seated with some magazines. I also met David Chiarello, the other owner of Textura.

Studio D Hair Salon

Studio D Hair Salon has been around for about a year and is one of East Vancouver’s up and coming trendy salons.

I’ve been friends with owner Donna Fathi for over 20 years and she has come a long way from bleaching and streaking my hair in high school to becoming my regular stylist. Donna is extremely professional, efficient (it takes about 30 mins or even less for a cut) and also has great deals on accessories like flat-irons. They were all sold out by the time I decided I wanted one!

Donna also did my hair for a special gala event recently and I got tons of compliments on it. Her salon is clean, stylish, full of inspiring artwork by sister & painter Diane Reyes, and in a great location where you can get food (50 cent samosas & Church’s Chicken)!
